Privacy Policy

When you use the contact form, we receive:

• –your name
• –your email address
• –your phone number, if you choose to give it
• –your message

With each message we also keep a scrambled, one-way code made from your IP address (a hash). The hash can’t be turned back into your IP address; we use it only to stop the form being flooded with spam (a few messages per address in a short time). We don’t keep anything else about your device or browser.

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a visit is from a person. Cloudflare’s privacy policy applies to that check.

Please don’t include medical details in the form. If your question is about your health or a treatment, we’ll talk it through at your appointment.

We use what you send only to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to help you book. Only our staff read your messages. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for advertising.

• –Messages are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase in the United States (East US, N. Virginia).
• –Each new message is also sent to our inbox as an email notification, through the email service Resend.
• –The website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps short-term server logs (which can include IP addresses) to run and protect the service.

We keep contact form messages for 24 months, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner by emailing hello@alohadetroit.com.

• –Booking happens on Moxie, our booking provider. Anything you enter there is handled under Moxie’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
• –The map on our Contact page loads from Google Maps only when you click “Show map”. Until then, nothing is requested from Google. Once loaded, Google’s privacy policy applies to the map.
• –Links to our social profiles (Facebook, Instagram, Linktree) take you to those services, which have their own policies.

We don’t use analytics on this website.

Our fonts are served from this website itself, so your browser makes no requests to Google Fonts. This website doesn’t set cookies of its own.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you sent us through this website by emailing hello@alohadetroit.com. We’ll reply within 30 days.

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date below. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
